With this plugin (plugin) for Rhythmbox we have the cover of what we are hearing on your desktop, with pretty shadow effects and reflections. Requires compiz enabled.
To install, first we must have subversion (if you do not have it installed):
sudo aptitude install subversion 
Then, create the plugins folder to Rhythmbox, if they do not, change to that directory and download the plugin : mkdir $ HOME/.gnome2/rhythmbox/plugins /
cd $ HOME/.gnome2/rhythmbox/plugins / svn co

activate Then we subtract from rhythmbox, in Edit menu / Accessories (English Edit / Plugins) and check the box for Desktop Art Comes to configure a button to resize the album cover and the place where we want to place your desktop.
